Who is it?
Sean Connery
George Lazenby
Roger Moore
Timothy Dalton
Pierce Brosnan
Daniel Craig
Has this been done before?
I gotta go with Daniel Craig. I like the meaner, scarred up, vengeful Bond over the others.
You left off David Niven
Connery is still the best, but Craig may give him a run for his money. I like the gritty portrayal. In fact, Casino Royale was closer to the Ian Fleming novel than any of the other movies. Still, he needs more than one to prove his chops.
I think Brosnan was underrated. He also helped return Bond to the spy mode and away from the cartoon character that Moore played. He didn't get great scripts to work with, but he was good in the role. Dalton wasn't bad either.
Moore beats out Lazenby so he isn't the worst, but he did make the worst movies (Moonraker and the San Francisco one especially).
There will never again be a Bond like Sean Connery. But then we should Never Say Never Again!
Connery -
But the new guy was VERY good -
Moore SUCKED....
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I voted Craig. While I agree he needs to prove it with another movie or so to top Connery, I anticipate that he will...
Personally, I think Sean Connery best represented the Bond in the Ian Fleming books. BTW - very good reads.
Connery hands down. Craig a surprising second in my book.
