For discussion's sake, let's have two categories:best soundtrack (individual songs) and best score (no singin', just music).
I have a feeling one guy will dominate the "scores."

John Williams - Take your pick -- You can tell he really likes Holst's The Planets
Howard Shore Lord of the Rings
Hans Zimmer - Gladiator
James Horner - Braveheart and Titanic
My favorite score is "Last of the Mohicans." (It was even better in the Gatorade commercial. )
Song-soundtrack is much trickier. I would definitely have "Grosse Pointe Blank" and "So I Married an Axe Murderer" on my list.
Favorite score would have to be the likes of Braveheart, Gladiator, and Pirates of the Caribbean
Favorite soundtrack would have to be Once and Garden State
The Commitments
TechSupporter11, you didn't like Garden State as a movie, did you? Please say no. PLEASE.
Score -- Howard for 'The Village' or Darren Aronofsky for 'Requiem for a Dream'.
Soundtrack -- The Nightmare Before Christmas
