On the other hand, DFM is Da Man when it comes to financial decisions so I guess it all depends on your dedication, expectation levels, and organizational style/skill. Did you ever think of contacting a TECH supporter that owns a meat market, say in Shreveport, to help you guys out on your tailgating needs? BTW: What, on the Good Man's green earth is wrong with hotdogs and hamburgers?
Haha no we didn't think of that. Actually nothing is wrong with hamburgers and hotdogs. We plan on doing it a few games this season. But we also want to diversify a little. Hamburgers and hotdogs are the easiest way to go though.

About the NPO. It was something that sounds good on paper but unfortunately we didn't have a real plan after that. Not to make excuses or anything but it didn't help that our treasurer all of a sudden bolted without warning on us before the start of last school year. Before she left she told us we had a certain amount of money left in the account so we were planning on purchasing some supplies. Well it turns out she was wrong and we ended up overdrawing the account. On top of that because none of our new officers got properly transfered to the account, none of us knew about it until we went by one day to set up a new treasurer.

As you can see we had some serious problems last year. This year we are ready to start over new. We finally found a person we can trust and is actually competent for our new treasurer position. And maybe one day if the leadership of the Blue feels it is the right move, they might once again try the NPO. But until we atleast prove we are raising enough funds to justify it, we are better off without it.

Just making up numbers, but let's say for $100 you will paint their business name and phone number on your backs at a football game (at least 5 members, persay).

The more that they pay, the more people you paint.

Also have a small table, a posterboard, and a "piggy bank" asking for donations for supplies from those who love the Blue.
I don't get why businesses would want something on our backs. The only people that could see it would be the students immediately behind us.

Well, they won't know that unless you tell them. Besides, that's not totally true. You will have to go to the bathroom at some time. If you paint up early enough, you will be walking around the tailgate area as well. Use your imagination. You can find ways to move around to get the advertisement out. Try hitting up the places that cater to students and make them aware that you will be in the front of the student section. Come on man. Think.

I know one guy that would love a picture of that (with him in the pic) that happens to own a meat market in Shreveport. Some guys just understand that shit like that doesn't go down every day or everywhere and that's why character and love of funstuff keeps us all young!:icon_wink:

You have tailgating, marching to the stadium through Tailgate Alley and the Argent Pavillion, then you have the game with 3-5K stoodents and many more alumni behind you.

Some businesses will throw money around to get their names advertised.

Well atleast for MSU it doesn't look like we will get that march. Because we have to be in the stadium early to even keep our front row seats (since Tech can't save us a section) we might have to be painting up in the stadium for that game. We might try and paint early and do touchups in the stadium.

Okay, grab several KFC buckets, paint them blue, paint "Support the Blue" on the side of the bucket in red. At the end of the first quarter, go up through the stands and gather donations. Advertise via BB&B what your intentions are.

If you're luckey, you might convince your spring quarter sports marketing professor of this idea and get his permission that the Public Address can announce what's going on.

Now, if you want to go another way, you can use Boys & Girls Clubs as a charity and do this on both sides of JAS and I'll give you a 20% commission.:icon_wink: You're being charitable and self serving at the same time (securing money for more paint.)

Blackmail the fans by saying C.S. is bringing back the 300 to prepare for Battle. Everyone must pay $5 for him not to do it. I'd give a hondo not to see that again
