Has anyone heard if Tim Rattay is in any training camp?
Has anyone heard if Tim Rattay is in any training camp?
He's not on roster anywhere, so I would guess he is back at his dad's school "coaching". I hope he is picked up somewhere...I saw where the Browns are down a QB right now...not that I would want to see him in Cleveland...
Are you kidding me??
Every week we would hear "Rattay to Edwards" again!!!
Braylon Edwards, Joe Jerivicous, and Donte Stallworth wouldn't be a bad WR corp... then you add KW3 (over-rated) and Jamal Lewis, and that's not a bad situation to be in.
Oh yea... the million+ dollars wouldn't be bad either. :icon_wink:

he should be #2 at Arizona
Stupid Matt Leinart. Um Um Um. Overrated.
Tim should be there. They screwed up.
49ers screwed up. I see that Smith is now backing up some guy I've never heard of.
Somebody signed Drew Henson this week. Lions, maybe. Tim may wind up there.
Speaking of Rattay . . .

Spoke at length with Tim today. He is at home in Phoenix, helping his dad with the high school team, staying in shape for a potential call-up. He is doing fine.
After speaking with Tim, I called his agent, Jim Steiner, who also represented my son Bobby many years ago. Jim was also the agent for Pat Tilley for many years. I asked Jim why Tim has not been able to catch on with a team & he told me the "tag" was out on Tim around the league that he has a "weak arm." I have discussed with you before how the NFL "tags" players that are not headline guys. For example, the tag currently attached to our Ryan Moats is "fumbler." Tags are NOT good things for a player. In any case, I gave Steiner 21 days to find a home for Tim--21 days or else we put a contract on him.
what about Accuracy? Who cares if a guy can throw the pill 108 mph if its not in the hands of WR, it doesn't matter how hard he throws. Tim is a good decision maker and has accuracy. I would love if he could pay for a couple of more years. Then I want him as an OC for the Dawgs.

I have to believe that Gruden contributed greatly to the "tag" on Tim.
