who was my guy for the presidency, just knocked it out of the park for McCain. Unless you watched it live, you may never get to see a replay. Simply put, Thompson's speech was awesome. Makes me wish even more that he had run a more aggressive campaign. But it really made me respect John McCain even more than I did before. Regardless of your background or political affiliation, there's no way you could have listened to that speech and not have a great respect for McCain and his candidacy for the presidency.

Fred rocks. He just entered the race after everyone had already decided on their candidate. They were already invested which made his job 5 times as hard as it should have been. If he would have entered when everyone else did I think he would be getting the nomination this week.

Just reading the story with no inflection or emotion made me well up at work a little. The sacrifice this man gave is unbelievable. One note was that after every beating he would call out to his fellow POWs and give them a thumbs up if conscious. Unfathomable.

Why the hell couldn't fred do that when he was running? That was the most amazing speech I've heard since I;ve been following politics.
