    Computer Guys

I don't want to out any hackers, but I have some 10-year-old Word documents that I have long since forgotten the password for (password-to-open format, probably Office 97). If anybody knows how to get into these, please let me know (post or PM, if you want to keep it on the down-low).

I tried some of the freeware, but they didn't do anything for me.

Help out an old guy. I just bought a new computer and I can't seem to type worth a damn on this new keyboard. Would it mess up my new computer to use my old keyboard. The new computer (Dell) has Vista and my old one (Compaq) has ME.

i've had the same keyboard since 1997 (three computers and countless upgrades; started with windows 95 and now with vista).

A plug, is a plug. If your computer has the correct port, you could use whatever you wish.

May need to update a driver, but not likely... most everything is "plug and play" now days.

I am sad to report that I never did find a solution to my problem (though I was able to get the information I was looking for in the doc from another source).

I don't know much about this, but it is my understanding that the encryption for write-protecting parts of documents is not as stringent as the encryption for password-protecting a whole document. Not sure what that means practically, but maybe someone on here can help you find a way around it.
