Obama doesn't need a teleprompter for a debate. It's used to give a speech. The Saddleback Church,,,,of course, Obama "lost" being pro-choice. I would be surprised if abortion even comes up in the debates since their positions are well known. The real issues are the economy, foreign debt, national debt, credit card debt, out of control spending, reckless military adventures, protection of civil liberties, future energy supply, etc.

I don't think Obama refused to do townhall meetings with McCAin because he couldn't do the format. Had more to do with message control.

Only because Obama is a great orator, kinda like someone back in the day... dang, what was his name... He's from Austria... dang, can't remember.... Economy - will get worse no matter who's in control. Too much partisanship. But eventually, it will balance itself out. Then that is when the fun starts.
Foreign/National Debt - isn't a significant problem. No country/company will cut funding, or call the debts - ever. Short of a total collapse of the government of course, but then the debts wouldn't be getting paid anyway. No country, not even Russia or China, has the balls to do it.
Credit Card Debt - Not the governments business. The companies themselves are the only people that can fix this.
Out of Control Spending - will never stop.
Reckless Military adventure - don't exist.
Protection of Civil Liberties - is guranteed. None of have been taken away from you or any other American citizen.
Energy - will never get solved by the govt and companies are too damn greedy. Short of a major company putting into it, this will never happen, no matter what the govt does.

No, people have the right to be stupid. I only mention it because of the economic implications of it relative to the over-all strength of the economy. I'm against the government bail-outs for the folks who got mortgages that they shouldn't have gotten.

The credit card debt situation points to a serious change in the way America behaves. Instant gratification instead of living within one's means.

Yeah they do, just look to the left, and right... I fault the people themselves more than the companies or government, but that's just me... Should go old school in solving the problem. Poverty and unemployment would soar through the roof, but then people would wake up, and things would start being fixed. But that could never happen, too many loopholes and cry0babies that "deserve" to be taken cared of.......
