No worries. If Ike is anything like Gus, I'll be heading up your way. Baton Rouge is planning a 5 day debris cleanup starting tomorrow, but there's just no way they can get that done. I figure there are a LOT of missiles around for the next storm! I won't be staying if that's what happens.

The models are all over the place. Some have it going into Alabama:
I think it is going to go into Texas for two reasons. Below you can see there is a stationary front that will discourage a northerly movement. Second, I think the models undersestimate mass. It is hard to turn something with as much mass as a hurricane, especially as big as Ike. So, with the front encouraging the hurricane to stay south and a mass moving in that direction anyway, this thing is going into Corpus.
I'm still working Fay...but I might get to leave Florida some time this week. Guess that we'll see. I may be heading to South Texas...it would be nice to get closer to home for a little while.
