2 DBs holding and one went from holding to a block in the back.
I was thinking the same on the holding calls. Why do our lineman not get their hands up during the rush?
now that was a bs call. are the refs just biased or what. he was so clearly out of bounds on his own.
Boise has been holding like this for years and getting away with it.
I noticed the same thing, lots of handfuls of jerseys. #5 Smith was getting held all night. Pretty obvious when he can't even doa spin move b/c the guy is hugging him, yet no flag.
Several times, their WR's were making obvious holds.
There is holding on every play. If it affects the outcome of the play, it needs to be called.

HOLDING??? THEY WEREN'T HOLDING!!! THEY WERE TACKLING!!! It was pretty obvious to me that the WAC must be trying to protect Boise State. Not that we were any threat to them tonight but I recall seeing one play in front of our bench where there were at least three blatant holds in front of the official and you could see our staff jumping up and down and no call. It was a big gainer too. Of course the only holding call of the night (I turned it off when it got to 31-3) was against us on the screen to Porter that got down inside the 10.Originally Posted by beaux66

It's the same WAC officiating that protected Boise two-three years ago when we got the same thing. They are protecting their little Cinderella BCS busting WAC team that will bring respect to this conference. I said then that there needed to be a complaint filed and after last night's blatant calls, I say it again. These refs trying to control a season by being unfair needs to stop. Calling us for holding on a play that would have put us on the goal line was HARD TO TAKE when they had been holding all night. If it had been called fairly we probably would have still lost, but it would not be the same score at all and we would not have been humiliated on national TV and possibly the momentum would have made a difference. Last night we had to play a very good Boise team and the refs as well and you will never win playing those two teams.
They would have won anyway, but Boise got every call last night. It was disgusting.

Does anyone know the requirements to be a WAC official? Do they really use the mirror test (as in if one can fog a mirror by breathing on it, one is qualified)? No, if they did that they would accidently find a good one occasionally. Even a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and then.

What bothered me was how the refs continued to allow Boise to blatantly pass and catch the football.
