Thank you, Daniel, for actually getting off of the plane and playing your ass off on the smurf turf tonight.

Most of the yards he got were b/c of his ability, not the OL

I'll second that. Carried a dude on your back for 3 yards. Had an excellent run called back on a hold we never saw on tv. Thank you Daniel for showing up. Here's to you getting the rock 25 times a game.

Not so much all over the field, but AT THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

But yeah, Porter again played with lots of heart and was one of the few (maybe less) bright spots in this game.

Couple more guys: Hitt, R.P. Stuart (was open all night, and runs like a deer -- he really stepped his game up), Phil Livas (also open all night)

AMEN to both Porter and Baker!!!!

The OL needs to hang their heads in shame and run ur ___ to the showers. That aspect of the team has sucked!!!!! My message to the OL: You at LTU - Why? Oh - maybe you should transfer to a 1-AA (or whatever they call mandated mediocrity now)!? (Especially after SELU ate ur --- for lunch, at much lower ur weight).

PORTER is the MAN!!!! I'll take 22 of Porter and put 'um on the field - I may not win, but by God, I'll earn some respect! (And we will earn much more than 3 F'ing points!).

    P.S.

DD - why the H--- do we keep starting PJ instead of Porter? - am I that stupid or can I become a football coach with the amazing ability to just amazingly divine the patently obvious?

Big props to Porter he was a monster. Had your receivers not had a case of the dropsies, the game would have been much different. Good luck the rest of the way.

    Re: Daniel Porter Appreciation Thread

Porter had 16 carries last night...averaging about 4 and a quarter per carry. If you take out a few penalties, and about eight of those carries that were consecutive runs right up the middle, you can appreciate how truly outstanding he was running the ball. With the way we're throwing/receiving, why didn't he carry it 30 times?

D'Anthony played well too. He consistently was getting pressure up the middle. Our ends didn't seem to get the same penetration.

Porter is the ONLY back we have. He runs downhill. Jackson starts spinning and side-stepping BEFORE he gets the ball.
