Guys keep in mind Scelfo calls the plays but he has to fit in Dooley's system of what he wants to accomplish. Scelfo is known for his offenses that use great QB play. Dooley like to establish the run and work from there.
I never thought I'd say this, but how about a screen pass or two.

Wow that was a sad display by Dooley on national TV no less. you have the ball in close to field goal range and you run the ball. Does he not want to win? That really disappoints me
I don't blame the coaches....when have our players shown they can catch a damn pass? How about our guys make a grab or two then we can think down the field. We get the ball starting the second half and lets make something happen.

What did we have to lose already down 21-3? If we can score at least a field goal and then a TD to start the 2nd half, now we're only down 8 points instead of 18.
You are absolutely right, We need to run twice to set up the 4 yard run on 3rd and 7. It also sets up the 5 yard crossing pattern on 3rd and 9. Basically we have the worse O in the last 40 years. (Although I seem to remember some bad O in the 80's.)
I don't know what game you are watching but we aren't playing bad. 21-3 is a lot worse than how this game looks. Our D is holding them to a few 3 and outs and our offense has shown we can move the ball.
As far as running on 3rd and long look at the time. We are not a quick strike team. Don't listen to these ESPN guys because they know nothing about our team but we haven't shown yet we score in a minute. We took a chance on 1st down and didn't get anything because they were back in coverage.
Are you not watching the same game I am? Our guys cannot catch...end of story. We go three and out in 10 sec. and give boise the ball back with all 3 TO's and 1:20 to work with. They would score at least a FG. Lets regroup and try to get our shit together in the 2nd half and score right out of the gate.
