    No way!

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,436961,00.html

I'm a new parent, but I cannot imagine my children being brought to this type of event. They'd be out of this school in a heartbeat. If they'd think it was ok to use this as a field trip I can't imagine trusting their judgment on how to educate my children when in the classroom either!

Hard to believe isn't it? What will things be like 20-30 years from now?

All thoughts of same sex marriage aside, this is inappropriate. School is not the place to be learning about marriage.

Do they plan to take a field trip to a traditional marraige?

Not unless it is a secular ceremony.

Can you say private school? Yikes- I would die if that had been my children- or someone else may have wished they had anyway.

Typical example of how screwed up things are in California. I fear the world that my kids are going to grow up in. The best thing I can do is to make sure they become securely grounded in their Christianity so they will be able to face these horrible times that will be approaching...

And Obama fits into these times perfectly...look for things to move farther and farther away from Christian principles during his presidency...

That's exactly the main reason I decided not have any more kids even before my health started deteriorating. Vette wasn't too excited to hear that, but after watching several newscasts and surfing the internet, she soon understood and agreed. I can't see bringing another life into this mess we're about to get into. It's going to keep getting worse and worse before everything gets straightened out.

The other side of the coin is that you and your wife are transmitting values which will be required in future generations to straighten out this mess.

That's funny right there. You don't really know me and my wife do you?

I think our parents had the same thoughts and their parents had the same thoughts.

For me, I don't fear for my kid. He is well grounded, OPEN minded, and secure in his beliefs. I am proud of him and how he accepts different people than himself.

That is fine and dandy, but a school field trip? School field trips are for going to the zoo, going to a discovery center, not going to a marriage (any marriage for that matter). If the teacher wanted to invite the students and their parents, go right ahead. No public money should be spent for kids to go see a marriage, that is ridiculous.
