Why I'm Not Worried

I'm not worried because the polls are still quite tight considering the amount of money BHO has spent to shift the polls.

I'm not worried because the independents value their votes far more than Red Dawg Republicans or Yellow Dog Democrats; they don't like this ACORN crap one bit.

The people listening, which are the ones that count, heard BHO say he was going to spread the wealth ala Huey Long; people generally are opposed to overt socialism.

BHO overpolled in every primary race...every race...overpolling by 2 to 5 points...the Bradley Effect still exists despite all the blather coming from the pundits. The Bradley Effect has nothing to do with racism except the fear that one will be labeled a racist if he doesn't vote for the minority candidate.

Young people don't vote and neither do new registrants. Unless this is the election that braeks all molds, these folks won't vote.

I don't generally believe polls. Even though they try not to inject bias, they do even the time of day that a poll is conducted can inject bias!

Joe the Plumber pressed the reset button for a few voters...in a race this close, it doesn't take too many changes.

Finally, my faith is in God not some lightweight from the Southside of Chicago that decided he wanted to be POTUS 23 years ago!

Makes me feel a little better Cartek. It just scares me that some GOP states that have always been GOP states are on the line. Those are states that McCain has to have. I don't see McCain taking any democrat states, unless all of those "racists", I mean "Pennsylvania rednecks" vote for McCain now.

I have a future sister in law that just graduated from law school down here in BR in Auguts and just passed the bar. She is voting against McCain more than for Obama, kinda opposite of me. I'm voting against Obama. To think that she will be making some serious dough one day, and she is voting for someone to take it away.

I've talked to a few people who are say, "doing alright." They're all about how life is unfair for people in the lower class. My first question is always, "well, if you recognize that, are you already giving your additional income to social programs?" I've always gotten the same answer. No matter how much money the person is making, they always claim that Obama is only going to tax the rich.

Doesn't JSM have a double digit lead in Louisiana? Isn't the race between Sister Mary and the wormy Republican close? Isn't Alexander way ahead? If these are true, then Louisiana will still be red.

Should have said based on what is happening in Louisiana...

All the early Dem votes concern me.

Sister Mary has NEVER been more vulnerable, but somehow we have the worst possible candidate running against her.

Actually a candidate is allowed to view the voter roll daily to see who has voted early. I'd assume that privilege is not limited to candidates, but don't know for sure.
