Dude..we have a decent shot at knocking off the "#1" team in the state next year..let us get excited..
Plus who cares who we are concerned about? Our minds don't affect the team. You act like we are players.
So just get off LSU's nuts man. I bet you'll be there next year..who will you say will win? Since you know every game you go to we win..
Who is "we" then?
don't fall for this trap. LSU is almost a year away. Utah St. is the game to worry about.
They will have a QB......

LSU lost to UGA, UF, and Bama.......I'm not ready to put us in that company yet. We have a small chance though.
Let's enjoy our first road win in a long time, and get our friends pumped up to come out and support the Dogs this weekend.

unlike many, i look forward to this game and enjoy arguing with my lsu friends. it is important as a potential recruiting tool, if we have a good showing. we really need to seperate ourselves from all other D-1 schools in the state outside of lsu. i think it is sort of an "everything to gain, nothing to lose" day for us. what it can cost us is an OOC potential win, which could be important next year if we are as good as we think we might be. our overall OOC schedule next year is tough (also at navy and at auburn, plus at lsu). winning one of those three will be a task, but i think navy and auburn are more possible.
i do not think a win over auburn or lsu is some type of "program changing" moment. nlulm beat bama just about a year ago. and a year later, nlulm is in their usual spot near the bottom of the belt and alabama is no# 1 in the country.

i was not being bicknell as you call it
you can control only what you can control. if you put all your eggs in the beat lsu basket; then woo hoo; you beat them, you are now 5 wins away from going to a bowl game. if you focus on small reachable goals; those other things take care of themselves. win the wac; you go to a bowl you can recruit better you can get better marketing; and thus, you can overtake your "rival"
I have to agree with most of y'all. I got way over excited with the road win and the LSu loss, and I started playing the "what if" game. i can actually see LSU losing to both Ole Miss and Arkansas to close out their season. we get them late next year, which could be a good thing. I am just seeing both of our seasons this year going opposite directions; us up and them down; and am hoping for a carryover next year. But yes, all of that is moot if we don't close the deal on this year.

I hate these threads. And don't tell me I don't have to read them. I don't. I simply hate seeing the freakin' titles.
