BTW, there is no truth to the earlier rumors that the French missiles waved a white flag and surrendered.

Seriously, this is a measured response. The question is, and remains, what is the point where the US, and our allies, should go to. We are making a moral judgment that the use of chemical weapons is bad, intolerable, but allowing Assad to murder Syrian civilians using conventional weapons appears to be acceptable. Is this really a way to degrade, eliminate chemical weapons in a volatile region to try to keep them out of terrorists' hands, or do we really care about those Syrian civilians? It appears to be the former.

Such a great win - win move for the world in general, Syrians that want freedom, Christian Syrians that were being gassed, the protection of Israel, Trump, America's resolve and standing in the world and a massive "in your face' to Iran and Russia. WTG Trump and our great military heroes and mighty machine. What a huge difference it makes having a real American President leading our country again.

That said, God's prophetic clock on the future total destruction of Damascus (read Isaiah 17) is still ticking and He's still in charge of the timing of this event. Does this lead to it? Does Assad/Iran and Russia do something even worse that requires Israel with or w/o the America led coalition to annihilate Damascus to never be inhabited again per Isaiah 17? Just having Russia (wanting the warm water ports of Lebanon and Syria) , Iran (via Hezbollah) teamed with Syria/Assad on Israel's northern boarder using chemical warfare is a massive threat.

Pentagon: Missiles 'crippled' chemical-weapon making ability in Syria, 'successfully' hit all targets

There have been no reports of civilian casualties following the attacks overnight Friday from U.S., France and United Kingdom aircraft and ships.

If we are still around, and the kooks, namely the Iranians, don't blow up the entire world, history is gonna be very unkind to obummer. Oh, there will be (and is) a concerted effort to cover up his misdeeds. But the truth has a way of finding its way into the light.

    Re: Obama's Road to Damascus

    Bothersome to say the least.

A Syrian-Hizballah buildup for a leap on Jordan’s border, cause for US, Israeli concern

    May 23, 2018 @ 8:17

A large Syrian army/Hizballah force is massing at Izra in the southern Daraa region poised to fight through to the Jordanian border and come within reach of Quneitra. This is reported by DEBKAfile’s military sources. The big Izra base also houses the Iranian command for eastern Syria. Bashar Assad has freed up substantial military strength for his drive to capture the south after beating back rebel forces from the Damascus area and proclaiming it under his control. The strength piling up at Izra consists of elements of the 4th Armored Division, as well as the 5th, 7th and 9thDivisions, paired with Hizballah reinforcements. They are armed with fresh Russian arms deliveries of Golan 1000 missile launchers and the new version of the Kornet D anti-tank missiles which can hit targets within a range of 8-9 km.

Our sources report that these units are preparing to drive south, knock over the rebel militias holding positions in the southeast and break through to the Syrian-Jordanian border crossing at Nasib. This is not the Syrian army’s first expedition with this goal, but hitherto they were pushed back by the rebels when the Russian command denied them air support at US and Jordanian insistence. This time, Russian intentions are unknown.

The US and Israeli commanders are watching the buildup at Izra with concern. Should a Syrian government force manage to fight its way through to the Jordanian border, backed by Hizballah and Iranian commanders, it would pose a threat to the US contingents posted in northern Jordan and embedded in the Syrian-Jordanian-Iraqi border triangle. Their presence there would be just a hop and a jump away from the Syrian Golan town of Quneitra and the Israeli border to the east, which is causing anxiety in Israel.

I am conflicted on this. On the one hand, I think it's time to abandon Syria and let all the idiots: Syrians, Russians, Persians, ISIS, other terrorists, kill each other. On the other hand, it could be dangerous to give in to the bully, Putin, and his array of stooges (not THE Three Stooges). Today it's Syria, tomorrow it'll be Iraq, and other countries.

Their main goal, never expressed by Putin but whispered in his ear every minute by the Islamist is, "Let's take Israel together and we will give you/Russia/Putin the warm water ports. Just give us Jerusalem and the country".

It's prophetic and in the Bible. And the Lord himself will destroy them on the mountains and hills of Israel.

Assad approves use of chlorine gas in Idlib

    Sep 10, 2018 @ 10:49
US officials report that Syrian President Bashar Assad has approved the use of chlorine gas in an offensive against the country’s last major rebel stronghold in Idlib – in defiance of US and allied warnings. The US and France have threatened retaliatory action if Syria again conducts chemical warfare in the decisive battle to retake the large province.

China to join Idlib offensive, took part in Russian Mediterranean drill

    Sep 10, 2018 @ 11:33
Chinese warships, fighter jets and bombers took part in the big, week-long Russian naval exercise in the eastern Mediterranean that ended on Saturday, Sept. 8, DEBKAfile’s military sources reveal. It was the first time that Beijing took any military role in the seven-year Syrian war, a development that has been kept under close wraps by Moscow, Washington and Jerusalem. Our military sources report that 3,500 Chinese marines are on standby for flights to Syria to join the Russian-Iranian-Syrian campaign for retaking Idlib province from rebel hands. They will fly through Russia. Beijing owns a special interest in this campaign in view of the strong presence among the jihadist groups holed up in Idlib of several thousand Uighur Islamists from Xinjiang, who are members of the banned Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), Al Qaeda’s branch in China.

Truth is, there's a world war raging today between the civilized world and the barbaric Muslim religion. This is a fight to the death, and the sooner we realize this the better. Unless they're neutralized, every single one of the combatants in that photo will return to fight another day. We're talking about religious fanatics that believe they're doing their god's will when they murder those they consider to be infidels. It's part of the barbarism that is the Muslim religion. They want all Christians and Jews dead. War is hell and there is no other way to deal with these zealots. Like I said, it's a fight to the death.

    Re: Obama's Road to Damascus

And this is nothing new. Ever since Muhammad started the moooslim religion back in the 7th century it has been one of murder, conquest, and military operations. Muhammad gathered followers by promising them riches, and they would attack cities and communities, and either those people joined them, and gave over all their money, or they were slaughtered. He recruited "the poor" and what we would call "the middle class" telling them he could make them rich if they joined him. Not too different than how the typical pirate recruited crew centuries later.

The root of Islam is paganism, a belief in many gods, which they called "the jinn." Muhammad claims that one of those gods, Allah, came to him in a dream and that he was the most powerful god and the others should be forgotten. Muhammad's biggest rival for the hearts and minds (and riches) were the Meccans, of the city of Mecca. They were still preaching about "the jinn" and a war broke out between the two factions. In 630 AD the "Muslims," those who followed Muhammad, won a decisive battle and the Meccan religion disappeared forever. After Muhammad died four years later, those in charge of this new "religion" were his generals. All they knew was military conquest and forcing "infidels" to convert or die. Nothing has changed to this day. It's all they know.
