So why did it take so long for Hussein Obama to accomplish this one? Like this guy even cares.

Washington slaps sanctions on senior ISIS operative in Libya, Sinai
    DEBKAfile May 22, 2016, 2:54 PM (IDT)
The US on Saturday imposed sanctions on six senior ISIS terrorists. One of them is Salmi Salama Sulayman Ammar, who has been operating in North Africa since 2015 after being sent by ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi from Syria to the Sinai Peninsula and Libya. According to US reports, Ammar sent hundreds of millions of dollars from Libya to the Sinai to encourage terrorist attacks against Egypt and Israel.

I imagine they're just being told to say what the DC ADM (Obama/Biden/Kerry) have been telling them to report.

US military chiefs overrate damage to ISIS
DEBKAfile Special Report May 28, 2016, 8:35 PM (IDT)

The US military chiefs fighting ISIS, have recently claimed that the US has re-organized its military resources and is determined to cut down the Islamic state after the lame efforts in the last two years.
These words of encouragement have come from Gen.Joseph Votel commander of US Middle East forces and the first US general to be assigned to Syria in its nearly six years of war, and Lt. Gen Charles Brown commanding the US Al Udied Air Base in Qatar where 750 aircraft operating in the Gulf and Middle East are based.

When US airstrikes against the Jihadist organization began the offensive in late 2014, it was marred by inadequate intelligence and (specifically that of intelligence analysis), and sporadic aerial action.

    DEBKA
files repeatedly reported that American and coalition air strikes against the Jihadists were too few, misfired and many of the bombers returned to base with much of their ordnance unused.

It appears that the Obama administration has finally decided to tackle ISIS in earnest.

Our military and anti-terror experts claim it is too soon to determine whether the US commitment is real.
It is true that there are signs of limited US military movement in Syria, Libya and Iraq indicating a possible change.

For example: Increasing the number of US special forces in these three countries, far beyond the framework that President Obama is talking about publicly, when he says ‘small forces’.

There are about 7,500 US soldiers deployed in Iraq and Syria, with an additional 2,000-3,000 fighters working for private security contractors. In Libya there are an additional 1,000 to 1,250 soldiers. American planes take off from Incirlilk base in South Turkey 350km by air from Raqqa, ISIS Syrian capital, and 700km from Mosul, ISIS Iraqi capital, and do not need to fly more than 1,450km (about 770 miles) when they approach from the Persian Gulf.
ISIS still shows no sign of cracking or dismantling its Islamic Caliphate, and its military and terrorist capabilities.

What Obama's and Hillary's pulling out of Iraq as well as lack of attention has wrought. This thread of warning is now 7 1/2 years old. Of course you never see these gory details on the CNN or MSNBC (disgusting liberal news organization) web pages.

    Re: Obama's Road to Damascus

Hillary's and Obama's bad decisions over the last 7 years have caused these deaths as well as the hundreds of thousands in Iraq, Syria and around the world by ISIS and their spinoffs. This is well documented by the posts above since 2006.

    WAR DRUMS OVER SYRIA

    Syria crisis
US and Europe ramp up pressure on Russia over Syrian conflict

US and Europe accuse Moscow of supporting Aleppo offensive as attacks intensify

Europe and the US ramped up diplomatic pressure on Russia, accusing Moscow of supporting the Syrian regime’s offensive on Aleppo that has derailed international efforts to revive Syria’s ceasefire.

The UN Security Council held an urgent meeting on Sunday at the request of the UK, the US and France to discuss the intensifying attacks on the strategic northern city, which is suffering the fiercest bombing of the five-year civil war, apparently with support from Russian warplanes.
Jean-Marc Ayrault, France’s foreign minister, told the meeting that Russia and Iran, which also backs the Syrian regime, would be accomplices to war crimes if they did not press President Bashar al-Assad to stop the violence.

He said the Syrian government “has clearly made the choice of a military escalation”.
“I am calling on Russia and Iran to pull themselves together and show responsibility, by putting a stop to this strategy,” Mr Ayrault said. “If not, Russia and Iran will be accomplices in war crimes committed in Aleppo.”
Foreign ministers from the US, the UK, France, Italy and Germany — along with the EU’s foreign policy chief — have accused Russia of violating a ceasefire intended to halt the fighting.
Moscow’s support for attacks carried out by Mr Assad’s forces “blatantly contradicts Russia’s claim that it supports a diplomatic resolution”, the US and European ministers said in a joint statement on Sunday. “The burden is on Russia to prove it is willing and able to take extraordinary steps to salvage diplomatic efforts.”
Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s UN ambassador, told the security council that peace in Syria was “almost an impossible task now”.
More than 200 civilians have died in three days of near-constant shelling that has pounded rebel-held districts, according to medical professionals in the area. Aleppo — the biggest strategic and political prize of the conflict — is divided between regime forces on the west and rebels in the east, where a quarter of a million people are trapped under a government siege.
“We have exhausted all the options of civilian protection — we’ve even dug hospitals underground and in caves, as if we are living in the Middle Ages,” said Raed al-Saleh, head of the rescue group in Aleppo known as the “White Helmets

    Re: Obama's Road to Damascus

Note the date on this thread as Obama sat back doing nothing and watched for 8 years while almost 500,000 innocent civilians die under Assad and his evil Syrian rule.
The Bible's prophecies of Damascus being forever destroyed are very interesting indeed!

And Trump promised to do nothing, too. Glad he ultimately agreed with Hillary, but time will tell if we are one and done and allow the Assad regime to continue to kill innocent women and children.

Hillary is all talk and lies. She would have cared zippo about the video of dead babies in Syria gasping for their last breath any more than aborted babies doing the same which she, Obama and the libs seems to love.

Assad has been murdering babies (and others) for years! In 2012 obummer made his infamous "line in the sand" remark, or whatever his exact words were. Assad had been murdering his own people for years up to that time too. Saddam Hussein used WMD's, usually nerve gas and sometimes mustard gas, to murder tens of thousands. No one seemed to care until GWB decided to invade Iraq.

Democraps have NEVER expressed any concern over people being slaughtered by the thousands. For anyone to say now that a President Killary would have intervened in Syria because Assad was murdering people is a joke. She and obummer were in power for YEARS! and never did a thing to stop Assad.

    Re: Obama's Road to Damascus

    Now, that said...

I am still undecided on whether our intervention in Syria, in direct confrontation with Assad, is a good idea. Yeah, our support of the Kurds fighting ISIS (mostly in Iraq) and our support of the Syrian Democratic Forces fighting ISIS in Syria is a good thing. But, taking on the Assad regime?

Assad is a murdering bastard who should be dropped off in one of those towns he's attacked with nerve gas, and let those people extract revenge on him. I suspect it wouldn't be pretty. But, Saddam Hussein was a murdering bastard too, we did take him on, and now look at the mess in Iraq and how a good portion of the region is in turmoil. Meanwhile, distracted by ISIS in Iraq and Syria, the Taliban has rebuilt itself in Afghanistan.

I like that Turkey has publically supported our missile attacks. I wasn't sure what their reaction was gonna be. Of course the nations of Russia, Iran, and North Korea have condemned the attacks. That's good too. But, I would prefer for us to find some ground of agreement/cooperation with Russia, as it pertains to such foreign policy. That may not be possible as long as Putin is in charge. Still, it's in our best interest to try.

What's the end game in Syria? Are we gonna be nation building....er, trying to? So, what if Assad is removed, what next? Syria will be another Iraq and Libya, up for grabs, with the mooooslim extremists holding the upper hand. My "who gives a shit?" side leans toward staying out. Let Assad murder his own people. After all, he's just killing mooslims anyway. Who the eff cares?

But then....I see the images of babies, young children, suffering from the effects of a nerve gas attack and it kind of upsets me. Maybe targeting Assad's military assets, especially his ability to deliver WMDs, is a good thing. Other than that, don't have a dog in the fight of who ultimately takes control of Syria.

She campaigned on her support of a no-fly zone in Syria and was in disagreement with Obama's position. This is all well-documented, though never mentioned in right wing media.

Yes, it has been reported by the non-liberal media. Unlike the liberal media who spoon feeds their sheeple, FOX and Breitbart actually report facts.
