I'm not sure how good/bad we are, but Dooley has gotten us bowl eligible in 2 years, and the future looks bright. Congrats Dawgs!

I don't know how sincere he was, but the I-Bowl rep. really sounded like he wanted Tech for their game!!!!
Feels good!
I don't know why after today... We had a poor crowd(yes I know that school is out... but it shouldn't matter) and the game was sloppy to me. I felt like we were going to lose after the first quarter. Sure am glad that we pulled it out! It's just a W now. I'm glad that the D can score!
I'll just be glad to be going bowling! It's been a while.
Bowl-eligible but not Bowl-qualified yet...7 wins needed for that.
With the economy the way it is.. I have been wondering if some of the smaller bowls like the Independence bowl will continue to exist. Not wishing any harm on them or anything, but I haven't heard if they have a sponsor, and given current economic times, I think it would be difficult for a company to pay out 3 million dollars for naming rights to a bowl such as the Independence Bowl. Does anyone know of other bowls who are having trouble with sponsorship and financing?
Yeah, I feel like we stole one today. But then again, that's what good teams do. They win. I'm not convinced we're a good team yet but it was nice to get the win. Hopefully, this game will be another wake-up call (a la Army).
go bulldogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Texas A&M and Kansas State both eliminated from bowl contention today. Colorado is the only remaining Big 12 team that can become bowl eligible so the Independence can get a Big 12 team with two BC$ bids. The Buffs must split Oklahoma State and at Nebraska...a tall order.
We should have never let them get back into the game when we were up 35-17
