Before some on here start heralding Miss State as a great team just because they are 4-0, please take a moment to look at their competition. All bottom dwellers.
This is another game that should be a win. Should. Hopefully it will.

Rumor is that Miss State wants to hire our WBB coach too .
I'm not so certain we'll win this one, my brother. :icon_wink: MSU starts a VERY experienced ( 3 JUCO's & the other 2 starters have lettered ) plus they're as big as UT!! The center ( Mokango ) is 6' 5" while they have two other players who get serious minutes off the bench that are both 6' 3". Shanavia is gonna get banged around a little but at least only one of these girls looks to be fairly solid ( like Courtney Paris of Oklahoma ). Granted that they haven't played anyone ( Ark-PB; NSU; ULL & Miss. Valley & all 20+ point W's ) but they also haven't been involved in any close games like ours w/Memphis & WKU. If we can keep things close near the end then perhaps the pressure will get to them. Still wouldn't mind if we could build up a big lead early!!
Bottom line is obvious - we've just GOTTA hit our shots.

They are decent. I am hoping for a good win on this one, though. We just can't start out so much in the hole. We need to beat Mississippi and Arizona. I think we will get our confidence back on track after that.
Not to get the cart ahead of the horse but how we play Arizona SHOULD give us a little insight to how we'll fare against 2 future opponents ( in a secondhand way ). They've already beaten Hawaii by 12 ( at Hawaii but Hawaii is 0-6 ) so that might tell us how our WAC season could go and they got embarrassed by Middle Tennessee State ( where's our Blue Raider guest? ) by 20 points. MTSU beat future opponent LSU in the PMAC by 4 yesterday so we might be able to knock the Lady Tigers off later this month in Baton Rouge.
IF we could take down MSU & Arizona I'd like to think we wouldn't have too much trouble w/Grambling & Sam Houston State ( who lost to Fresno ) as they're both TAC games. Nothing like a nice little 4 game winning streak ( what's one of those again?? ) to build confidence before playing LSU. Then again, we could very easily lose to MSU & 'Zona considering the way we shoot!
Let's just play them one at a time & focus on MSU for now.
