Moody: Amazed at Talk of Boise Moving to Mountain West

Nevada Appeal Sports Writer Darrell Moody wrote Saturday (12-6) that he is "still amazed" about talk of "a possible move" by Boise State to the Mountain West Conference, saying "it would be a bad move both for the MWC and Boise State."

Pointing out the cost of travel to Tech is always a talking point, but does it really cost much more when chartering a jet? He brings up something that is rarely discussed. Other sports Boise does not have... baseball in particular. How many additional sports would the MWC require Boise to add? What are the cost of adding these? IMO, it would be far more expensive to add these sports and those travel costs than current WAC costs. So the big question is, would the MWC add enough revenue from football and MBB to offset those? I'd guess the answer is no, but perception is really what it is all about isn't it?
