I should clarify. I'm not the one going after the girl. I dated the girl. However, I really want to hear what people would do if they were seeking to date an ex of a friend of theirs.
who cares....if they can date and get along does it matter? Just make sure you are hooked up with someone hotter when you have to be in a social setting with them. Plus, when they break up you could be getting some calls from her.......
I don't really care. I do find what happened to be funny though because they did this and tried to hide it and have ended up lying about it. The lie has now involved several other of my friends. I was just curious what other people would do. To be perfectly honest, it makes me laugh because it's just like back in high school times.

No, but for what it's worth, we met at a baseball game and she continued to let baseball games count as dates.
Your friend should have discussed this with you up front and been honest about wanting to date the girl. If he was really a friend, he would have done this. A friend would have cared about how you felt about it. Lying and sneaking and involving other people in the lie is childish and silly.
That being said...if you don't care then you should tell them both you wish them well and happiness and then you look really smart and mature. And the rest of them look like silly asses.
1. Remove them as friends on Facebook and Myspace.
2. Put together a mix tape (or CD) about how you feel and mail it to them.
3. Challenge him to a fight in the parking lot between periods. Make sure the principal doesn't find out.
4. Right an emo song. Video it. Upload it to Youtube.
