    were = we're?

    If you see Obama, make sure you thank him for blowing $170 million of taxpayer money on his ego trip. If you are going to any of the balls I am sure you will have the chance to rub shoulders with the Wall Street big whigs that he bailed out.

    ...and had John McCain won, this thread would have never been started... Funny how "let's all come together" only applies when we're the ones crossing the aisle.

    This blowout has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Good ole taxpayers paying for all the security for this unprecedented display of smugness and uselessness. Springsteen, Clooney, Streisand, every fringe leftist you can find will come out from under their rocks.

    From a distance it looks like you guys (I am assuming you mean Republicans) are the ones crossing the aisle because you lost.. Had you won it would be the other way around..

    Actually, I don't think the full $170 million is from taxpayers, but a good portion of it is.

    CNN reported that the private money is mostly from Wall Street.

    Yes, a good majority of it is which is why I didn't comment on that portion of your post.

    First off, every single report out there I've seen has put $157mil as the "possible" cost of the inauguration.

    This, of course, caused Republicans everywhere to get a stiffy over the "hypocrisy" how everyone whined about W's $40mil one with Obama doing a near-$160mil one...

    But guess what- when you add in the cost of security, W's ALSO cost over $150million!!!

    *gasp* *shock*

    You mean Obama's inauguration isnt costing ANY MORE than W's???

    NO WAY.

    You mean Republicans once again left out certain facts, and compared apples to oranges, just to push an agenda and feel morally superior???

    NO WAY!

    This is true- because you guys never give democrats the chance to cross the aisle when youre in power. It's always "you have to agree with us 100% or we'll call you a traitor"

    The story even has links to actual sources for those who will ignore this immediately just for being from mediamatters.com (which is more proof you'll get from either WND, or any of the mainstream media stories pushing the $150mil vs $40mil lie... who just say the inauguration will cost $150mil without citing anything)
