It's not that I think she doesn't pull off the sleeve tat and others can. I like SOME tats but hate the sleeve tat, on anyone. Just don't like it. Never have.

Agreed. My wife doesn;t understand why I don't like him because she says he sounds like the singer of half the rock bands I like. I had to point out to her that the only guy I can compare him to is Steven Tyler except without the talent and voice control.

My wife thinks he is a little too Broadway. More "rock opera" than "rock."

I DVR'd Idol (you have to watch Biggest Loser live) and am enjoying watching the country night. They're doing a great job four singers in. Guess the stakes are pretty high for these 11 - one doesn't make the tour. That'd be sickening to make it that far and miss the fun.

A Johnny Cash song was done on Opry Night. "Ring of Fire". So many thoughts went through my mind as I watched this...

How far has country music come since the days of Hee Haw?

My grandfather never liked Cash much. Thankfully he never had to see this guy.

Is DFM okay with this new Cash look?

It was the worst I've ever seen. I thought it was a disgrace to Johnny Cash.

The Ring of Fire cover sucked, then again I think he would have looked/sounded silly if he cover the exact arrangement. Only person with a country backbone was Michael and I thought his performance did not showcase his vocals. Below is what i thought from last night.

    Top
    Anoop, Allison, Matt, Kris

    Ok
    Danny, Megan, Alexis

    Sucked
    Michael, Lillian, Scott, Adam

Yep, the butchering done to "Ring of Fire" was offset by the great job Anoop did with Willie Nelson. Never been a big Willie fan, but the song was great the way Anoop did it.

I don't know their names, but I watched with my wife last night and we basically had it like this:

    1A: Kid from Conway
    1B: Indian guy
3: Weird girl with red hair

    4-9:Everyone else

10: The girly emo guy (is that redundant and paradoxical at the same time?)
    11. The oilfield worker
