    I agree with you maddawg.

    Tulane is a legend in it's own mind, but not anyone else's. The only decent teams I ever recall them having was when Bowden was there.

    Tulane left the SEC because the administration felt that academically focused private schools were at a significant disadvantage. Vandy and Tulane tried to start a southern ivy league for this exact reason, but it never got off of the ground because Duke and Rice didn't want to lose the money they were making off of their big conference tie-ins.
