yep. Dark meat. Then pulled it out, let it cool and de-boned it. Then threw the Trinity, the sausage and other spices into the chicken broth and let them cook down. Then added the chicken. Then the roux.Originally Posted by Dirtydawg

I'm messing with you, although, I'd have cooked it with the chicken and the bone to get as much flavor as possible.
I did. I used leq quarters. Boiled them until the meat was falling off the bones, then pulled them uot of the broth.

They say that one of the endearing qualities of the haiku is that it is a natural (intuitive) length. 17 syables is roughly one breath's worth of words.
I love some gumbo.
