You mis-read her. She said Stiles took SWMS to the Final Four in 2001. She signed with them in 1996 (I assume), which was the Big 12's first year.

The assertion is that had the Big 12 been then what it is today, she probably would have ended up at Kansas or OU or Baylor instead of SWMS. I don't know if that is true (although the fact that Stiles seems to be at least partly backing it up helps make the case), but the dates are correct.

Ahhh. Probably so. I had just woken up when I read that. Makes sense now added to the fact that I can't seem to differentiate between one past year and another.
