Unless it is lsu losing I couldn't care less. I do however; like to see our TECH graduates succeed- regardless of whether or not I follow them.
Why post at all, when just to state that you could care less? I don't get that.
Why post only to bash two of Tech's longtime mainstays?
Petty people.
Because women's basketball is not popular. And if it begins to appear popular, folks have to come over here to remind you that it is not popular.
They're just mad because WBB at Tech has been selling more tickets than MBB for the past couple of decades. They can't get people to go to MBB games, so they want to discredit WBB and bring it down to the level of MBB at Tech.
That's all I can figure. I can understand that WBB may not be interesting to some people. But when I am not ineterested in something I tend to ignore it. So, for a person to post negative things about something in which they claim to not be interested suggests that it is not actually a lack of interest at all.
One of my favorites was when somebody said we should ditch WBB and focus on baseball for revenue, when baseball revenues nationwide are worse that WBB. In fact, just looking at attendance (from which all other revenues emerge) the top 50 programs in baseball attendance average roughly half what the top 50 programs in WBB attendance average. (And not only that, but even with the downward spiral, WBB at Tech has remained in the top 50 in attendance.)
I just like to jerk folks chains. I actually watched a minute or two flipping the channels, it was ugly. I have said the same thing about men's games before. Just for the record, I have attended Techster games since the year they played ODU for the championship in Greensboro, NC. Admittedly, my attendance and enthusiam waned after Leon retired.
UL is solid this year. They just embarrassed MD.
