If we are winning, the national press is going to be MUCH easier to get with Spoon as HC.
I kept wondering last night how the players of these teams feel with Spoon's presence on the sideline. When you see her running up and down the sideline jumping around in the air, it has got to have an affect on your team. All these girls grew up seeing her as a WNBA Superstar.
Big game tonight in Benton. I'm thinking about going to check out Lulu.
Broome scored 16 as NC knocked off the defending 5A champs 50-46. Much more than her points it's her overall contribution that leads NC. Broome runs the point and also gets the toughest defensive assignment, doesn't matter if the other team's star is a guard or a forward either.
Got there at 6:15 and was lucky to squeeze in about halfway up.
Broome is a game changer. Any decent program that signs her is looking at a some FF trips. Gotta have a good team around her, of course, and good coaching, which NC sorely lacks. Boozman, I think is her name, must be on booze! Southwood played a much better game overall, better coached. But Central has Broome. Game over.
Gonna just say it. If Spoon can land Broome, the Techsters will be a serious contender for a return trip to the Final Four. No, not the first year, but during Broome's four years.
I hope I'm not like Beano Cook with my predictions...
Lulu scored 21 in the final 16 minutes to lead the Lady Tigers to victory!
According to a coach that helped with the summer team Broome played for the past couple of years, every school knows about her. She's a junior so schools can send her information thru the mail. Not sure about actual contacts yet. It's been 10 years since I was involved in recruiting and don't remember all the details and maybe the NCAA has changed some of them anyway.
Spoon can get her. I just know it, I feel it. Maybe another coach at Tech wouldn't have been able to, but I just think Spoon can "talk the talk."
Dawg80, i know you love this girl and i have reffed her many time, she still needs to get better with her outside game and i know she can. Here is one for you, last year i had to call goaltending on her cause she hit the ball while it was on the rim....lol. It caught me off guard.
Bad news, I hear that Lulu may move to Texas this summer, damn i hope not.
