With our lack of success the past 8 years, how could anyone be a tech fan and not have a sense of faith

Yeah, but Tyler, you know those are totally different than having a true faith and belief that Jesus is the Son of God and our Savior and the only way to eternal life in Heaven. I think it's very clear in the Bible for those who believe that one is saved by faith and not saved by "just in case". If one chooses to believe that Jesus is our Savior just in case he actually is can that really be credited to him as true faith?

What are you doing to protect yourself against the risk that heaven is actually hell, and vice versa?

    So,

What if someone finally discovered, or it turns out that: Guiss, etc. and DirtyDog, etc. are both partly right rather than either side being totally wrong...... could everyone live with being partly right, or is it still "my way or the highway"?

Have you ever asked yourself this:

What kind of god would condition salvation on the belief and acceptance of some event that occured many years before a person was ever born? Why would it matter to this god what someone believes? Why is it important to this god that people have faith some outrageous story that they did not witness?

Assuming such a god even exists, why is this a god that you would want to celebrate or be associated with? This is a god that allegedly subjected his own son to torture and physical death. If he were really as powerful as he is made out to be, this would be unnecessary. If you did this to your own son, no one would think you were a supreme moral being.

This is clearly a trick. If you decide to support this god to receive his promised gift, you lose. The god of the Bible may be like the apple Eve offered Adam.

What do you think happens to you when you die? Do you believe in reincarnation?

Nothing happens. You just die. I think we wrongly associate our self-awareness with an "inner self" or soul that inhabits our physical body.

    Re: An atheist holiday

It is hard for me to believe that everything that is on this earth just happened randomly with nobody behind the scenes organizing it. After dissecting human bodies and seeing how organized and purposeful our systems are, I cannot imagine that we were not planned by someone. Even if we evolved over time, could it not be possible that God planned the evolution? Why is it either/or?

As you know, I totally agree with your statements. Per your question at the end, I would say that that person found Christ/God through his power of reasoning that led to his faith so be it. It has to start somewhere be it ones heart or head. Many seek and find through their heart and some through their mind/knowledge that God has provided in everything we see and observe in this world "so that no man has an excuse".
Then again God does the seeking, finding and calling as well. What a great God and Savior we have!

New International Version Romans 1 Read This Chapter1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

    I disagree as does God's word. Romans 10: 5-11

5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
