You must be a Saints fan, when all else fails refer to . . . well, you can refer to, um, I mean, there's always, hmmm. . . I guess you refer the, no . . . to, uh, to the . . . well, not the past, but maybe the. . . no, maybe the. . . um - "potential"? :icon_wink:
And don't worry Cub's fans, even though you don't have championships (recently) you've always got your bandwaggon fans! So let that comfort you!
CUBS win! CUBS win! I can feel it!
“Towie Barclay of the Glen, Happy to the maids, But never to the men.”
Please don't depress me this early. I was one of those idiots that chanted Fukudome!! all season and thought man this really is the year. Like most cub years I was binge drinking by early October.:icon_wink: But on a high note go cubs and God bless WGN.
You guys have to know that when you have been a Cubs fan as long as I have and as long as I am assuming Dwayne has been you come to expect to have your heartbroken. Until they win a series we will remain huge fans but never expect anything. I've seen too many years where we had a great team on paper only to have that paper go up in flames as soon as the season started. 2004 comes to mind as a recent example. Then there is last year where we play about as good as anyone and can't get through the playoffs. I will be with them every pitch this year rooting for them as hard as I can but to predict anything before the season starts is folly. Go Cubs Go!
Agony !!
What does a mama bear on the pill have in common with the World Series? No cubs. -Harry Caray
I've always been curious about why people choose to be fans of teams from other parts of the country. How about telling what team you support, when you began your support, and why you support the team.
I am an Astros fan since the 1960's when they moved to the Astrodome. I saw them many times when they were Colt 45's but the move to the Astrodome made me choose them as my team. I've never given up on them.
Prior to the Astros I was a Giants fan in the NL and a White Sox fan in the AL. I was a Giants fan because of their manager Alvin Dark. I was a White Sox fan because a hometown radio station in Alexandria broadcast the White Sox games. I listened to the Cardinals on KMOX but never became a fan of the Cardinals.
