if the young lady is truly guilty, there should be no "second chance". if she shoplifted, she should be off the team immediately and if she wants to remain at louisiana tech as a student, she should do it on her own dime.

I'd think the same thing, as most probably would, I do know that people do dumb things (as I still do!) so I hope for a better reason than what it probably is.
