My answer is probably One.
Sunday. Bloody Sunday. Good video. For me anything from Rattle and Hum/Joshua Tree and earlier. After that they had some catchy stuff but got a little poppy for my tastes.
Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
tough one. today, i'll go with pride (in the name of love).
Geesh, it's sort of like asking "what's your favorite sexual position."
I like a lot of them, but I've always really liked The Sweetest Thing, and especially the video. Just think it's cool that the whole production was put on (song written, video put together) just to make up for missing his wife's birthday. I mean, pathetic that he went to such lengths, but cool that she was willing to be in the video.
Oh, and U2 is the best band ever for aspiring musicians, because they are case in point that all you need is one guy with a little bit of musical talent, a charismatic frontman, and you can make the big-time with filler for all the other members.
Now that I've agonized over this for more than a week, I can now say with confidence that this is quite impossible for me. But if there were a gun to my head ...
Achtung is probably my favorite album and Ultraviolet is my favorite track on it.
But there are as many as a dozen other U2 songs that I like just as well or better -- 40, The Wanderer, One, Bad, Numb, Desire --- I'm just getting started. It depends on my mood, time of day, time of year, etc.
As a very, very general guideline, I suppose I prefer the one word titles over the longer names. But I would still put If God Will Send His Angels or Where the Streets Have No Name up against any of the ones I listed above.
Not long ago I put all my U2 tracks (250-ish) on the mp3 player I keep in my vehicle. I set the playlist to random, and I rarely skip a track.
The more I think about this, the more I think you might as well ask me what I like best about Tech, America, or women. Sure, there are some parts I like better than others, but I so deeply admire each of them, I dont know that I could ever possibly pick a SINGLE favorite aspect.
A quick word about the new album that was just released this week, No Line on the Horizon ...
If you are U2 fan, it's pretty freakin good.
If you're not really into U2, you'll think it sounds like another U2 album that is not Joshua Tree.
