I really think there should be astericks in basketball for two things -
First asterick for freshman eligibility - Jack Moreland
Second asterick for the 3 pt line - Opie & Mike Green

''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I don't think the 3-pointer would have helped Green much, (I don't remember him shooting from that deep), but Opie would definately have scored a lot more points if the deep ones counted 3 pts.
Bubba bump!!!!!
Don't look now, but KG is still moving up the list!
I think............ he will pass Lovett this year.

with a conservative estimate of playing 32 games next season and averaging 18 points per game, it looks like kyle will finish eighth all-time on the scoring list with 1,682 points.
to continue moving up the list, he'd have to average:
7th -- 18.9
6th -- 19.1
5th -- 22.6
4th -- 23.8
3rd -- 26.3
2nd -- 29.0
1st -- 38.6
honestly, moving into six all-time wouldn't be out of the question with a very good year from kyle. passing no. 5 and no. 4 would be an all-wac player of the year season. moving into the top 3 is pretty much out of the question. of course, the more games he can play, the more that helps as well. we played 33 games this year. assuming it's the same number of games next year, with an extra game in the wac tourney and a few postseason games, who knows? then again, we won't get the "preseason" tournament next year, so that's two games off the schedule.
the bold, the beautiful, theprofessor
Notice 3 players on the list from the same team.L.V.Norris,Billy Wiggins and Chester Coker.Freshmen didn't play then, there was no shot clock and 40 point total game scores were common then especially when playing McNeese who also had a great team then as did Northwestern with the McConathy brothers.
After first game of Senior season:
1. Mike Green (69-73) 2340
2. Mike McConathy (73-77) 2033
3. Randy White (85-89) 1947

He should have a good chance to crack the top 10 if he averages 14-15ppg over the season.
I met Kyle at the last football game and he seems like a really nice guy...I was a little bit drunk and he and Jamel and the other guys seemed happy a student was wanting to talk some basketball. I will be there watchin the dawgs all the way to a WAC title
