The Captians of the late 70's, 80's and 90's were Texas Leage AA affiliate of the SF Giants (for most of their existence) - Taylor Moore's group who sold to Madalay Entertainment who changed the name to Swamp Dragons and moved the club to Frisco TX

The "new" sports and now the "new" captains are owned by someone different is an independent team with no official affliation with MiLB

T-Mo, can you expand on that comment? How long do we have Nitz "locked down" for, etc..... I'm glad to hear it....but I don't think I've read it anywhere.

Something about he wanted to broadcast games on internet only. Maybe GameTracker style.

Of course he did supposedly have some clash with the Nitzer when S'port played a game at Jackson when the current S'port GM was Gm there. Of course Dave was right . ..

craig brasfield, the new s'port gm, was the president of the united league last year. that league did the same internet-only broadcast, and it was not a hit at all in alexandria. in fact, it's one of the reasons revenues went down and the league folded. brasfield is sharp, but this move is dumb.
