The SBC tourney was very thoroughly advertised in LR. They put a big billboard on I-30 right between the River Market and Alltel Arena. You could not miss it.

Hot Springs was a really great venue for this event. They've previously hosted the NAIA Final Four, as well as some rounds of the Division 2 tourney. Their brand new arena and the adjacent hotel are just a few walkable blocks away from all their downtown shops and restaraunts.

The two cities have always had this battle for conventions. Little Rock is the capital city with the airport, but Hot Springs, just 60 minutes away, has grown more into an artsy, friendly town with everything in walkable distance or the Oaklawn Park race track a city bus or cab ride away.

And with Coy's Steakhouse burning down to the ground in January, everything IS just about a walk away.
