“Towie Barclay of the Glen, Happy to the maids, But never to the men.”
Certainly possible for a salt water croc. They get that big. Actually, fresh water crocs and even alligators can also grow 20+ feet, given enough time. There was a 25-foot gator at the old La Place snake and gator farm back in the '60's. I saw it.
That is terrible though. Can't imagine what the parents are going through...
Anyone remember that college girl killed by about 14-ft gator in Florida, oh, about 3 or 4 years ago. She was jogging along a popular jogging and biking path, stopped for a minute to take a break. Sat in the grass about 5 feet from the water's edge, when the gator launched itself in an attack and dragged her in. Cause of death was drowning, as the gator pulled her under and held her. Some runners, about 1/4 mile away witnessed the attack but there was nothing they could do to help.
