What a bummer. Drove from Pineville through some heavy rain in the Dallas area arriving around 3:30 in Arlington and checked in to the hotel. Found out the game was cancelled with no makeup scheduled.
Around 6:00 the weather was great looking so we went to the stadium just to make sure about the cancellation. Sun shining and perfect temp, but no baseball. Wish the decision hadn't been made so quick - maybe it will be better for the Dallas Baptist series on Thursday.
Already had one person ask about my Texas Ranger shirt and hat. I am always polite and point out the state of Louisiana since I know Texans never heard of geography, American history, or anything east of the Sabine.
If God had asked "Which game should I rain out on this road swing if you could choose it?" I would have answered UTA. They lost at Texas in 10 innings by 1 point, swept Minnesota, just finished crushing NSU 25-2 in a 3-game series, and nearly upset TX A&M in College Station. Honestly, I don't think our team would have been ready for them.
That said, I do look forward to the Dallas Baptist games Thurs, Fri and Sat. See ya'll then.

Dear Abby,
Is this something I need to be concerned about. My wife calls runs "points" when the two of us are discussing baseball. When we are around others discussing baseball she uses the correct term "runs".
Thank you in advance for your response,

Dear Worried Husband,
She's just trying to play the "innocent southern bell" trick on you when alone. Sounds like she knows better but is still hoping for that special and unique response from you. Did you not give it to her? Or did you totally cave when she gave "points" the appropriate southern drawl and thus earning points for yourself that night? Oh those southern bells on those southern nights!
Enjoy!
Abby
