Over 50 killed, dozens wounded in Taliban attack on Kandahar airport

At least 52 people were killed, dozens were wounded and an unknown number of people were taken hostage on Wednesday morning when the Taliban carried out a terrorist attack on the Kandahar international airport in southern Afghanistan.
The airport compound is also the site of the joint command of NATO and Afghan army forces.
