de Havilland Beaver Plane Crash at Lake Hood

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVwlodvWh7w&e&fmt=22

A water plane tries to take off from the lake right at the camera men. This is in HD, and it is amazing to watch.

Everyone was fine, 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs were in the plane.

    Cool video.
Looks as though he was overweight taking off in a confined space.

    Thank god everyone was ok.

I am headed to Anchorage right now and will be staying really close to Lake Hood.

It is an incredible sight to see all the hundreds of sea planes parked there. I believe they average over 200 take-offs there a day! I have flown out of there several times... pretty exciting stuff, especially the landings!
