This is really difficult for those of us who are not from Louisiana and were not raised rooting for lsu. It was a major challenge to my view of the world to arrive in Ruston and have Tech students on Tech's campus explain to me why I should be supporting the "state school." I'd have happily spent my life feeling nothing one way or the other for that institution if not for all the nonsense regarding lsu that I experienced in Ruston.

I think you need to quit starting these threads... It seems to be having a paradoxical effect.
And, sadly, there are now even more Tech alumni in my Facebook friends list hooping it up about these baseball games. I just don't understand being a fanatic for someone else's school.

Agree but would you care if they were hooping it up about another school or just that its lsu? It seems like the majority of the board doesnt have a problem with people cheering for other schools just not lsu?
I have never tried to convince people that they have to cheer for lsu. you went to school at tech you should pull for them first. I have always admitted I cheer for LSU but not at the expense of MY bulldogs.
If people were cheering for UTexas allllll the time while being Tech students then yeah, we'd be pissed.

I'm pretty close to de-facebook with those Tech alums wearing LSU gears on my facebook. I'm serious about it.
