I think she may have thrown her rather large bra onto the stage also at a concert one.

TWon the Duke was only 72 when he died. That ain't old. Had the big C not jumped on him, we'd have gotten several more movies out of him.

    1. Elvis (just remember the shock everyone was in)
    2. John Lennon
    3a. Davey Allison (totally unexpected)
    3b. Alan Kulwicki (totally unexpected)

Close but not quite - Walter Payton (everyone knew he was sick) & Dale Earnhardt (it was a race and those things happen)

Rock stars & movie stars are suppose to die young - in mostly at the hands of their own excesses

Earnhardt... Yes. I think I would put him at #3 on my list.

    Re: Your Top 3 Deaths

My favorite Elvis death story comes from my friend Mike Melton. The day of Elvis's death he's walking home from school as always when up comes his Mom flying in the car. She screeches up next to him, rolls down the window and shouts. "Mike, get in the car. Elvis is dead and I don't know how we're gonna tell your Daddy"!

So obviously Elvis is numero uno. John Lennon was tough for me because I just couldn't understand why someone would want to shoot the man, Yoko I could see but not John. Now those two were tough and famous but for me "losing Stevie Ray Vaugh was like losing a family member". (yes I quoted myself).

Michael Jackson's death really isnt that shocking to me. For starters, he lost his luster after the freak show he has conducted over the last couple of decades. Secondly, the guy did all sorts of weird things to his body, he was bound to die early.

Forgot about Payne Stewart - very shocking death, he would be right there on my list....

Just a few months removed from the US Open Victory and Ryder Cup win - very tragic death

Members of my family choose to NOT acknowledge that Elvis is dead. In fact, I am pretty sure I saw him the other day at the Hayride.....

Just a sick feeling for me, when they discussed the cabin losing pressure, but still flying. Ugh...The tribute with the bagpipes, et al, was very moving, as well. Sorely missed golfer!

FYI...Elvis died in August...was Mike in summer school?
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
