I have talked with TechsasDawg, and we are both going to Reno to see the Bulldogs beat Nevada. Are there any other latechBBBers that are going to the game?
I'm glad a few of you are making the trip. Most of the downtown casinos are pretty close to the stadium. There are shuttles, but I'm not sure of their schedule. They'll hook you up at the hotel. There's a bar across from the stadium called the Little Waldorf Saloon where fans from both teams often gather and another one half a block up called Archie's. Friday tailgating sucks so many of us will be up at the Wal'. Come up early and have a few beers. Also, we still sell beer at the stadium until the end of half time so that's convenient. Unfortunately that will probably stop in the near future.
Good luck.
Go Pack!
Thanks for the info about tailgating in Reno. I hope its a good game and nobody get hurt, except for maybe Nevada's feelings after the Dawgs win.
Just for clarification nevada's campus is a few blocks from the nearest casino (circus circus). Not miles, but the stadium is on the north side of campus, while casinos are on the south so that stretches it out a bit. It still isn't a bad walk, and there is a free bus service. I would recommend staying in Circus-Circus, Silver legacy, or El Darado. Downtown, nice, and close to campus. If you have a rental car go for the Peppermill or Grand Sierra Resort.

Page 18 shows a good picture of where the stadium is in comparison to downtown... Grand sierra is very nice, newely remodelled. It has good views as well. But, it's not close enough to bike or walk to the stadium.
