Tax Cheat Geithner asks Congress to increase federal deficit limit

That's right, we need it after all the irresponsible spending by zerO and the leading liberal minds in congress.

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124970470294516541.html

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner asked Congress to increase the $12.1 trillion debt limit on Friday, saying it is "critically important" that they act in the next two months.

Mr. Geithner, in a letter to U.S. lawmakers, said that the Treasury projects that the current debt limit could be reached as early mid-October.

Mr. Geithner said the that it is "clearly a moment in our history" that requires support from both Democrats and Republicans for the increase.
Yeah it's "clearly a moment in our history" all right!

Where was the out cry when GWB asked Congress to increase the ceiling on the national debt SEVERAL TIMES. Seemed all the fiscal conservative republicans voted for it with a big smile.

What about all the irresponsible spending by GWB??

Does that somehow make this increase okay then? This is not about moral relativism. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it. I didn't like deficit spending then and I don't like it now.

Be a man and stop blaming and referring to Bush for everything. Yes, he made mistakes. This is Obama's presidency now. He is responsible.

A lot of the spending Obama is doing now is because of the mess Bush left behind. That's just a fact. Give Obama some time and I think that he will move toward a balanced budget, especially since it seems that the republicans have realized the errors of their previous ways.

The reality is that if BUSH was still President he would be spending like Obama is now since his economic advisors were Keynesian also. The only difference is that we now have HOPE and CHANGE.

The first part is right, but how that gives you any "hope" or how team O could possibly be considered "change" is baffling.

Actually, I was being sarcastic. But I do think that team Obama will mature to be a far better administration than the previous one. After all, how could anyone be worse than Bush/Cheney?

Once again, bush bashing is not a defense of Obama. Obama is implementing much more national debt.
