Not Bush bashing so much as explaining that most the debt being created today was authorized by Bush or because of the failure of his economic policies.

I have a new strategy now. I'm going on a spending spree when I get off work. I may even get my wife her own personal credit card (no we don't have or want one). All this time I thought saving and budgeting was the American way to financial freedom. How could I have been duped all these years?

The republicans had abandoned their conservative roots especially in GWB's second term. True conservatives were still up in arms about his spending in the last years. Republicans became content and lazy, thus losing Congress in 2006 and WH in 2008. Democrats could have put anyone up against McCain and won, even Lurch (Kerry). BHO's actions should really not surprise anyone. He is doing what he said he would do during the campaign. Most who voted for him in 2008 who are now "against" him, were either lazy and did not really research the candidates on their own and listened to MSM, did not care because it was just not Bush, or didn't believe that BHO would really do some of the things he was talking about dismissing it as campaign speech bs.

Yep, Keynesians show up from everywhere when the economy is on the downside. You cant find a one of them when times are good, and the government is supposed to be reigning in their spending/taxing more, in order to slow down an expansion. Funny how that works.

How quickly you choose to forget Carter/Mondale. Guess Reagan made them a distant memory didn't he.

And as of now Obama/Biden have been FAR worse than even Carter/Mondale were. And as for maturity....it would take the now unconstitutional FDRish 4th term for this bunch of juveniles to get any reasonable semblance of maturity given the weekly if not daily crap they pull.

Sadly the repubs failed to live up to their party billing the last time around. We're all paying for it now though. Thanks guys.

So true. And now the DEMS/DEMS are living up to their party billing. Taxes, taxes and more taxes, only this time their bigger goal of creating a Socialist America is unfolding. Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves.

President Carter was a fiscal conservative compare to the republicans of the past 30 years. Absolutely true.

Wrong, most of the debt today was implemented by Obama's pen. He has to take ownership of it.

And Pelosi and Reed, back to 2006, have been writting the bills for Obama and Bush to sign.

Remember it was Bush who wanting the $700 billion bailout bill that John McCain supported and voted for?

You should be able to remember that since it was less than a year ago.

    My guy voted against it.
