The Social Network - I only watched 10 minutes of it. Unintelligible in the time I watched it due to the low volume on the dialog and poorly put together story. We invited a neighbor couple over to watch it with dinner. I ended up putting UP in the DVD and they loved it.

I agree with WWDog, The Social Network isn't a good movie. Much like Inception and Black Swan, a lot of fanfare with no substance.
Volume doesn't help when the mix of music and dialog are out of proportion!

I haven't seen Black Swan, but don't Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis make out or something in it? What the hell more "substance" do you want?
Considering how effed up the ballet world is, could have been much better.

I was hesitant to list a flick like this. The kind of movie my wife pretty much has to drag me into. I mean, who wouldn't put Twilight on this list??? The cast was pretty good though... Just couldn't save this steaming load. I was actually mad when I left this movie. After 29 years of life, I've had perfect vision the entire time. When I left this movie couldn't see my hand in front of my face. It's like my eyes were protecting the rest of me. Too bad my punk ass ears couldn't follow suit and just shut off for the night.
I didn't like the social network either. I agree with the critic that put it like this:
"The genesis of Facebook as weepy bromance"
Stay away from Your Highness. The few good laughs does not make up for how craptastic the movie is. It doesn't even fall into the "so bad it's funny" category. Very disappointed that Zooey Deschanel and Damian Lewis (played Maj Winters in Band of Brothers) soiled their acting repertoire abilities for this. Guess a quick payday is more important.

Wasn't much of a choice to watch, it was free. Didn't expect it to be good, but also didn't expect it to be nowhere near as bad as it was. Still can't believe someone thought the Minotaur thing was a good idea.
I'm having a hard time admitting it, but Pirates of the Caribbean On Stanger Tides was disappointing. The whole movie seems like they just wanted to play of the PotC title rather than actually make a good movie. Barbossa was the most annoying thing of the movie, followed closely by the mermaid/priest love story and Blackbeard. Penelope Cruz's hotness was severly underutilized. Depp's Sparrow had a noticeably different look, but not worse than Rush's Barbosa, and the writers seemed to forget the independent and joint history of both characters. Just very disappointing.
Will a 10 year old and 8 year old dig it? Or is it THAT bad? If its so bad my kids won't like it I don't want to waste my money. If there is decent action and special effects they should be fine though.
