I think I would rather watch an American Idol marathon than that lineup. But maybe all of the intelligent people have been busy watching preseason football!

Actually, these are the only Americans that care enough to keep up and are trying to educate themselves on the issues. And I'll even include the CNN/MSNBC watchers. It's a sad commentary on our society. And don't get me started about the "regular" TV news watchers. What a waste.

haha, people watching Fox to educate themselves?

Here's why people watch Fox News: http://www.businessdictionary.com/de...onsonance.html

Reality is too different from what they want it to be, so they watch "news" that agrees with their world view, even though the "news" is mostly lies and exaggerations.

Perhaps these people fell asleep with the tv running.

Oddly enough, the number of people currently in prison is about 2.5 million... Maybe being forced to watch Fox News is their punishment.

I keep laughing because the dems keep hoping for the demise of Beck- and his numbers are going up instead of down. Every where I go people are listening more and more to Fox News- must mean I am hanging out in the right places. The numbers are certainly very informative on how people are feeling these days. Hmmm, now where it the nut case olbermann on this list- after all of the Fox line up.

I like the point that Tyler was making. If you look at the numbers that is a small percentage of the overall US population who is watching news at all, regardless of the source. Granted there is a percentage who get news from local tv, newspapers, internet etc. but the number is still small when compared to the overall populus. I guess that is why many more people can tell you who the last finalist was on survivor or idol, but can't tell you who Nancy Pelosi is.

Those shows that TT listed are not really "news." They are more entertainment.

I would say political opinion pieces rather than entertainment (except for Baier and Shep... that's the news). I guess you could call it entertainment for political junkies.

Thank you! That's exactly one of the main points I was trying to make.

I disagree Guisslapp. They are entertaining no doubt. But very informative per the news, as well as having guest from both sides of the isle that are part of the back and forth, depending on which show you're watching. You really need to change channels if you have not been watching this unfold the last 18 months. I personally think that hearing even the talking points of both sides is very eye opening and informative. Anything that educates the masses on the issues is important for this country. The problem is the majority are dumb arses that don't care and are blind sheep. They have zero concept or grasp of the issues (look at this past Nov.results).
