I agree. It really sucks they made half the stimulus package tax cuts as a compromise to Republicans who all voted no on it anyway. Shouldve just said "screw 'em" and made it 100% spending on infrastructure.

I'm working with a group that is trying to do the same thing for all the parishes north of Alexandria with their model - yet there are very few dollars available through the stimulus to even get maps of "true" coverage areas drawn...

No he should have just agreed to renew the tax cuts that were expiring -

I'm in parish gov't and the Obama stimulus package is a joke - if you are a large urban population base and have the multimillion dollar engineering and planning departments to generate the documentation needed for application you can get it -

But if you are a government of rural area with a low tax base and a small population that is 55% below the poverty level but yet you have a small and competent gov't governing agency you have very little chance of getting if any stimulus dollars...
