    Waterboarding worked

How a Detainee Became An Asset
Sept. 11 Plotter Cooperated After Waterboarding

After enduring the CIA's harshest interrogation methods and spending more than a year in the agency's secret prisons, Khalid Sheik Mohammed stood before U.S. intelligence officers in a makeshift lecture hall, leading what they called "terrorist tutorials."

"KSM, an accomplished resistor, provided only a few intelligence reports prior to the use of the waterboard, and analysis of that information revealed that much of it was outdated, inaccurate or incomplete," according to newly unclassified portions of a 2004 report by the CIA's then-inspector general released Monday by the Justice Department.

But for defenders of waterboarding, the evidence is clear: Mohammed cooperated, and to an extraordinary extent, only when his spirit was broken in the month after his capture March 1, 2003, as the inspector general's report and other documents released this week indicate.

Over a few weeks, he was subjected to an escalating series of coercive methods, culminating in 7 1/2 days of sleep deprivation, while diapered and shackled, and 183 instances of waterboarding. After the month-long torment, he was never waterboarded again.

"What do you think changed KSM's mind?" one former senior intelligence official said this week after being asked about the effect of waterboarding. "Of course it began with that."

SHHHH... the American people aren't suppose to know that Bush/Cheney/our Troops saved countless lives with our techniques. The DEMS/LIBS/OBAM/REID/PELOSI don't want us to know these truths. Just another reason for the "Fairness Doctrine" , they must keep tryth for the American people at all cost. SHH......

The kind that doesn't give them Cuban cigars, a 5-star 7 course meal (3 times a day), a king size bed with a bar free ocean view, a Versace jumpsuit with dolce & gabbana accessories, a satellite telephone to call anyone, high speed DoD internet access, sets him free with a million dollar for the pleasure of having a fine, upstanding peaceful human being.

...far less effective than listening to the arrogant drivel spouted off by the community organizer in chief.

And that is nothing compared to the economic torture that may await this country in 2011 due to said community organizer in chief's grossly excessive spending spree and the rest of his failed economic policies.

One Unwary Phone Call Led US to Bin Laden Doorstep

"The revelation that intelligence gleaned from the CIA's so-called black sites helped kill bin Laden was seen as vindication for many intelligence officials who have been repeatedly investigated and criticized for their involvement in a program that involved the harshest interrogation methods in U.S. history.
"We got beat up for it, but those efforts led to this great day," said Marty Martin, a retired CIA officer who for years led the hunt for bin Laden.
Mohammed did not reveal the names while being subjected to the simulated drowning technique known as waterboarding, former officials said. He identified them many months later under standard interrogation, they said, leaving it once again up for debate as to whether the harsh technique was a valuable tool or an unnecessarily violent tactic."
