It seems they are saying that regular interrogation didn't work, so they did the enhanced interrogation and broke his will to the point where regular interrogation worked.
the waterboarding had nothing to do with the intelligence that led to OBL's death. Keep dreaming. He has been living in that compound for 3 years now. It was gained from observation of the compound through servelience. Sometimes you people border on the rediculous.
Nevermind the waterboarding and interrogation aspects.
But the information came from GITMO in 2007, not observation of the compound. Geronimo would have been living there before that, so he had been at the compound almost 6 or 7 years before this op. Even with that little bit from GITMO about couriers, it took all this time to track him down, identify him, and then to identify the mansion. The government made huge assumptions that Geronimo was there that luckily turned out to be correct.
At least get your facts right.

I don't think any of us will ever know for sure. That said, even Donald Rumsfeld is saying torture didn't have anything to do with this.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that claim or it's opposite can ever be proven beyond any reasonable doubt.
Can't and won't get involved in the back-and-forth banter, but wanted to point out that Rumsfeld is only talking to EITs used at Guantanamo and other DoD facilities, not agency black sites.
