Almost every single item on that list that addresses insurance issues lends to justification for reform...as most everyone, even in the healthcare industry, wants and agrees with, including me. However, none...yes, I said none... of them offer justification for the currently proposed "solutions" of this government. Furthermore, the items on that list relating the poor health of this country versus the cost of healthcare and comparing that to other wealthy nations...the poor health of this country compared to other wealthy countries has nothing to do with preventive care and treatment in this conutry. It has everything to do with lifestyles lived by people in this country. Saying we spend more but are no healthier is not a function of the healthcare system. It is a function of poor lifestyle choices, period.
This country provides its citizens with the best healthcare in the world. We just have to pull our heads out of our rears and fix the revenue cycle. (I may have slightly over-simplified the solution )

Insurance companies discriminated against more than 12 million Americans in the three years between 2004 & 2006 because they had a pre-existing illness or condition. The companies either refused to cover the person, refused to cover a specific illness or condition or charged a higher premium.
