So sell them for $5 to anyone wearing a red shirt. It just seems that Tech should have a plan to fill the seats for a Wednesday game on ESPN.

Don im serious as a heartattack when I say we need to drop out of 1-a football if we only get 10,000 people in the stands. I honestly dont think that many people drive in more than 2 hours for a home game on a saturday. The only positive about the wednesday is we should have more students for this game than ever before.

I think that might be a little over the top. Is it a good thing if we have 10k? Definately not, but dropping out of 1A just b/c of 10k at a wednesday night game is taking it too far.

It's just plain stupid to play a game on Wednesday night. A lot of people will stay home because it's on TV.

I won't be there unfortunately since it is a weeknight and i would have to miss 2 days of work. I have given my tickets away so that hopefully some one will use them and represent well for me. Attendance will definatley take a hit from this. I still think we get 16k or so for this game.

Other small schools manage to fill up their stadiums on tuesday,wed, thu, friday yet you dont think we can get over 10,000 thats beyond embarassing. I know its inconvient for alot but if you buy into the program you will find a way to be in the stands.

I wish I could be there. I hate missing ANY game. I have a business trip to Austin that I can't skip. There are a good many fans that drive a good distance to our games. I agree that this is no excuse for not having a good crowd, but this one is going to have to depend on those people within a 2 hour radius around Ruston. The students are going to have to show up BIG TIME, as well. I hate that it is on a Wednesday night.

I think it is safe to say that most midmajors have lower attendance numbers on a weekday. Right now we put 17-19 on weekends. That many will not make it on the week days. So, are you saying that 11k to 16k would be a good number? Any thing lower we might as well quit and buy purple and gold.

I'm on the last week of a contract that week. I am still trying to figure out a way to get there but it is very doubtful.

I'm thinking anything less than 16k is a dissapointment, I dont care what day of the week it is. I guess we disagree where most of our fan base is. I think most of them live between monroe and shreveport and I guess you dont. Hell I think people who live in Dallas could pull of the trip. People should use some vacation days for this, is it inconvient yes but is it a priority for you? Thats the question.

ESPN showing your game, ESPECIALLY in Ruston, you play whether it is Saturday at 2 or Tuesday morning at 11. You can not beat that exposure.

Being on Wednesday just allows the excuse train to get rolling.......

This is a game where the people of Ruston have to show up and support TECH! People like myself who make alot of Fri/Saturday games can't make it in time from Houston or Austin to watch this game in THE JOE! I have mailed my Tickets to a Dawgs fan who is bringing a guest to watch!
